Local electricians help power Canfield baseball field

There is no greater feeling than sitting and watching a baseball game while an excited announcer describes the play. Thanks to the local NECA-IBEW Electricians and John Rafoth of Rafoth Electric, the Canfield High School baseball experience will be even stronger.

NECA-IBEW Electricians recently contributed toward the construction of a new press box for the Canfield baseball field. Rafoth, a member contractor of the group, was among the electricians to personally add donated labor and expertise to the project.

John Rafoth from Rafoth Electric contributed labor and materials to help build the new press box at Canfield High School.

“I was approached about this project, and it seemed like a great opportunity to help the local high school,” Rafoth said.

Rafoth dedicated several days to the building and wiring of the press box. To him, every second was worth it.

“My nephew plays on the Canfield baseball team,” Rafoth said. “I felt a connection to the people we were helping, and I am thankful to have been a part of this experience.”

NECA-IBEW Electricians, an association of signatory Mahoning Valley electrical contractors and IBEW locals in Youngstown and Warren, supports several community and education-related initiatives among the local school systems.
