The NECA/IBEW Electricians donated funds to support the renovation of Rayen Stadium on Youngstown’s east side. Its donation will be memorialized with an 8-by-8-inch brick on a wall within the facility.
“Our contribution acknowledges the union electricians and member contractors who attended Youngstown City Schools, and reflects our support for this well-deserved project that will benefit the next generation of the city’s student-athletes,” said Jim Burgham, business manager of IBEW Local 64.
The $3 million project includes installing synthetic turf, lighting, locker rooms, a concession area, public restrooms, press box, storage, parking area and updated seating to accommodate 5,000 spectators.
