Member Contractor Spotlight — CR Electric Inc. fosters fun, hard-working environment

It’s not a good idea to mix business with pleasure.

As far as CR Electric Inc. President Jason Rubin is concerned, this old adage couldn’t be further from the truth.

“I want to make my business a fun place to work,” he explained. “We are blessed with great employees who work hard and get the job done. That is why we are successful. So, we try to make work enjoyable for them. We have a big Christmas party for employees and customers each year to show our appreciation.”NECA-IBEW Electricians Youngstown Warren electrical contractor

Rubin attributes much of his company’s success to his knowledgeable and dedicated workforce, in addition to a focus on working smart and putting customers’ needs first. This formula has enabled CR Electric Inc., a NECA-IBEW Electricians member contractor, to provide a variety of electrical services to customers in the Mahoning Valley and beyond since 1998.

CR Electric Inc.’s expertise is far-reaching, with experience in residential, commercial, industrial and many areas of work. More recently, the company has become a go-to source for work at water sewage plants, including projects in the Mahoning Valley Sanitary District and in Wintersville, Ohio, near Steubenville.

“There’s no job too big or too small,” said Rubin, whose shop includes 24 employees and is located on Trumbull Avenue in Girard. “We’ve been flying in the right direction, as opportunities in many different areas have grown. It’s really a good time to be in the electrical industry. We are blessed with great employees and great customers.”

Rubin believes that hiring IBEW electricians like him gives customers huge advantages in a variety of ways.

“Customers will just get a better quality of work and a company that will take pride in its employees and in making sure its customers are satisfied.”

Not only does CR Electric Inc. serve customers in the Youngstown-Warren area, but it has also developed into a regional and national service provider. Closer to home, the company was hired for work at the Quaker Steak & Lube on Elm Road in Warren, they provide electrical services at a local Greenwood car dealership, and many more local projects.

“We do work in residential, retail, industrial, restaurants, auto, electrical substations, water sewage plants – a big variety. We’ve increased our sales every year since 2008 when the economy went down.

“We are here for our customers 24/7. And if we make a mistake, we own it and fix it – no questions asked. I like to be a very hands-on owner and get out to our project sites every day to make sure our customers are happy with our work.”
